Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is owned by Australian farmers and works in  partnership with industry and government to achieve a profitable and sustainable  red meat and livestock industry in Australia. MLA has the unique responsibility  of providing marketing, promotional support and research and development  services to the entire red meat industry. This includes over 47,000 Australian  livestock producers, processors, exporters, foodservice operators and retailers  globally, to help them meet community and consumer expectations. Australia  has an enviable reputation for its food safety, Halal certification standards and  industry support programs that it runs in China and the South East Asia region  whilst continually striving to maintain the highest quality and safety standards in  the world.
