Danish Agriculture & Food Council was established in 1919 to represent the Danish agricultural food industry. The council was formed by the Danish Agriculture and Council, the Danish Bacon and Meat Council, the Danish Pig Producers Association and the Danish Farmers Association in 2009. The organization also engages in some of the key work of the Danish Dairy Council. Agriculture and food are Denmark's largest industrial and innovative institutions, employing about 150,000 employees, exporting 15 billion euros worth of agricultural products and equipment. Danish Agriculture & Food council aims to increase the political interests of farmers and food producers and to provide services based on the needs of their members.
